Nanovia Nylon Food Industry

The Nanovia PA Food Industry (FI) filament is a 3D printing material (Nylon) that contains a metallic filler. This filler is designed to trigger metal detectors in food industry production lines, preventing contamination of finished products.

The polyamide (PA) used in this material withstands temperatures exceeding 100°C and can be easily cleaned with boiling water. It also provides excellent chemical resistance to cleaning agents.

These properties make it ideal for a wide range of applications such as grippers, blowers, spatulas, templates, gears, adapters, and more.

Nanovia PA FI can be printed without the need for a closed chamber, and it exhibits very low warping during the 3D printing process. It is also compatible with most 3D printers available on the market.

Advantages and Key Features

Detectable by metal detectors in industrial tunnels.

Complies with (EU) No 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR §§ 178.3297 regulations for food-contact plastics.

Printable without an enclosed chamber and offers good chemical resistance.

Our Recommendations for Using Nanovia PA FI

The ideal extrusion temperature for Nanovia PA Food Industry filament is between 265 and 290°C. A heated bed between 70°C and 80°C is recommended.

As Nylon is moisture-sensitive, we recommend storing your spool in a dry environment with desiccant. If exposed to moisture or air, please dry the filament at 60°C for 4 hours or more.

Finally, we recommend using a printer with air extraction or a filtered chamber.
