The Ultracur3D ST 80B resin developed by Forward AM (BASF) is a photosensitive urethane resin designed for DLP/LCD and MSLA technologies.
The ST series is the most robust and solid, suitable for the most demanding applications requiring rigidity, impact resistance, and durability. The ST 80 B resin is the most accessible resin in the ST range.
Recommended for its precision, stability, and attractive matte black finish. It is impact resistant but less rigid than the standard version and slightly more sensitive to temperature.
The Ultracur3D ST 80 B provides a fine finish. It is specially designed for very detailed printing and offers long-term UV stability.
Mechanical resistance: Strong and impact-resistant, this ST80B photoreactive resin provides an excellent balance between strength and precision. Suitable for technical and aesthetic applications, it performs well for all types of prototypes or finished products.
Accessibility: The Ultracur3D ST80B urethane resin is technical, high-performance, and accessible. Resistant to prolonged stress, it is recommended for parts requiring high detail, visual quality, and mechanical wear and friction resistance.
Precision: Urethane resins offer good precision and excellent dimensional stability. Suitable for the fastest and most accurate 3D printers, BASF resin quality is suitable for the most precise, high-performance, and demanding applications.
Ultracur3D photoreactive resins are very light-sensitive and must be protected from UV exposure. Store them away from light and moisture. Gloves should also be worn when handling the resin.
Shake the resin well before use and let it rest a few moments after pouring into the vat to allow bubbles to disappear. To determine the optimal exposure time for your slicer and 3D printer, consult our community.
Do not forget to clean your part with IPA or an appropriate BASF Cleaner to remove any remaining liquid resin and achieve a uniform visual finish. The final step is UV post-curing to achieve the best performance (about 20 minutes depending on size and thickness).
