Using BASF Ultracur3D ST 80 G Resin

The Ultracur3D ST 80 G resin developed by BASF is a reactive urethane photopolymer resin designed for DLP/LCD and MSLA technologies.

The ST series is the most robust and durable, suitable for the most demanding applications requiring rigidity, impact resistance, and durability. The ST 80 G resin is the most accessible resin in the ST range.

Recommended for its accuracy, stability, and attractive technical grey appearance. It offers impact resistance but is slightly less rigid than the standard version and slightly more sensitive to temperature.

The Ultracur3D ST 80 G delivers fine surface finish, specially designed for highly detailed printing, and offers long-term UV stability.

Ultracur3D ST 80 G Resin: Key Strengths

Mechanical strength: Strong and impact-resistant, the ST80G photoreactive resin offers an excellent compromise between strength and precision. Suitable for technical and aesthetic applications, it provides sufficient performance for a wide range of prototyping and finished products.

Accessibility: The Ultracur3D ST80G urethane resin is technical, high-performing, and affordable. Resistant to prolonged stress, it is particularly recommended for parts requiring high detail, beautiful visual rendering, and mechanical resistance to wear and friction.

Precision: Urethane resins offer good precision and excellent dimensional stability. Compatible with the fastest and most precise 3D printers, BASF resins are ideal for the most precise, high-performance, and demanding applications.

Our Usage Recommendations for ST80G Resin

Ultracur3D photoreactive resins are very sensitive to light and must be protected from UV exposure. Store them away from light and humidity. Always wear gloves when handling the resin.

Shake the resin well before use and let it sit briefly after pouring into the vat to allow bubbles to dissipate. To find the optimal exposure time for your slice and printer, feel free to consult our community.

Don't forget to clean your part with IPA alcohol or the BASF Cleaner to remove any liquid resin and maintain a uniform surface finish. The final step is UV curing in a dedicated chamber to achieve the best performance (about 20 minutes depending on size and thickness).
