Carbon PETG - Industrial Technical Filament

This carbon fiber reinforced filament is widely used for its high technical performance and will meet the demands of challenging applications. It is commonly referred to as PETG-CF, which stands for "Carbon Fiber".

Carbon PETG is twice as rigid as standard PETG due to its composition. The added fibers make it easy to print, as they reduce warping during printing and prevent bed adhesion issues. You will obtain parts with excellent dimensional accuracy and a matte, slightly rough finish.

This composite filament provides high rigidity, allowing the production of technical mechanical parts.

Why use PETG-CF Carbon?

With 15% fibers, Forshape's Carbon PETG is ideal for technical part design and finished products. It is commonly used for drone chassis design, automotive, aerospace, and generally in sectors where strength and light weight are important factors.

In medical applications, for example, it is used to create customized parts. Producing prosthetics or adapters for wheelchairs are common uses for PETG-CF (Carbon).

Key advantages of Forshape Carbon Filament

Impact and shock resistance: The 15% added carbon fibers double the rigidity of PETG and provide excellent impact resistance.

Matte and rough appearance: The material's composition gives a very attractive surface after printing. This finish is highly valued in industrial applications.

Ease of printing: Carbon PETG adheres well to the bed, and its composition limits PETG warping. Additionally, the material does not deform, resulting in parts with excellent dimensional accuracy.

Eco-friendly: Forshape PETG-CF is supplied on a recyclable cardboard spool for simple recycling after use.

Printing recommendations

Forshape Carbon PETG is a filament compatible with all 3D printers equipped for 1.75mm extrusion and following the recommended settings below.

This filament requires an extrusion temperature between 230 and 255°C, and a heated bed to maintain a constant temperature between 70 and 90°C.

All additional printing information and guidelines are available in the datasheet downloadable on this page.

Carbon PETG is an abrasive filament; we recommend using a reinforced nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.5mm.
