BASF resins are photosensitive resins developed for DLP/LCD and MSLA 3D printers.
The RG series is the stiffest and hardest resin range, suitable for the most demanding applications that require high rigidity without deformation.
RG resins have the highest flexural modulus in the Ultracur3D range and the highest thermal stability. They are specifically designed to provide excellent tensile strength and top-level rigidity, as well as high printing accuracy with low shrinkage. Prints made with RG resin have low water absorption and are easy to polish, which accelerates design iterations and reduces development costs.
High rigidity: BASF RG35 is the most rigid resin, offering an excellent balance of strength and stiffness. It has a flexural modulus of 2400 and a strength of 110 MPa. This RG35 photoreactive resin also provides excellent stability due to low shrinkage. It delivers unique performance for prototyping and functional parts in the most technical applications.
Temperature resistance: Ultracur3D RG35 urethane resins are highly temperature-resistant, with a heat deflection temperature under load (0.45 MPa) of up to 83°C.
Water resistance (cleaning): RG35 resins are very insensitive to water (0.33% absorption in 24h), making them suitable for use in humid environments without loss of performance or dimensional accuracy. Another advantage of this low water sensitivity is the possibility of using water for cleaning your parts.
Ultracur3D resins are photosensitive and therefore highly light-sensitive. They must be protected from UV exposure once opened. Store them away from light, and wear gloves when handling the resin.
Shake the resin bottle well before use and let it rest for a few minutes after filling your print vat to allow air bubbles to dissipate. To determine the optimal exposure settings for your 3D printer, consult our dedicated community articles.
After cleaning with alcohol or water and letting it dry briefly, complete the post-processing by passing the part through a UV curing chamber to achieve the specified performance (about 20 minutes depending on size and thickness).
