Use of BASF Ultracur3D ST 1400 Resin

The Ultracur3D ST 1400 resin developed by manufacturer BASF is a photoreactive urethane resin developed for DLP/LCD and MSLA technology. The ST series is the most robust and solid, suitable for the most demanding applications that require rigidity, impact resistance, and durability. The ST 1400 resin is the most accessible resin in the ST range.

Recommended for its precision, stability, and beautiful translucent appearance. It is shock-resistant but less rigid than the standard version. It will also be slightly more sensitive to temperature. Our Recommendations for Using ST1400 Resin

Ultracur3D photoreactive resins are very sensitive to light, so they should be protected from UV exposure as soon as they are exposed. Be sure to store them away from light and humidity. It is also important to wear gloves when handling the resin.

Shake your resin well before use and let it rest for a few moments after being poured into the vat to allow bubbles to disappear. To determine the best exposure time for your slice and 3D printer, don't hesitate to consult our community.

Don't forget to clean your part with IPA-type alcohol or an appropriate BASF Cleaner solution to remove any remaining liquid resin and maintain a smooth appearance. The final step in your part’s production is to place it in a UV curing chamber to achieve the best performance (about 20 minutes, depending on size and thickness).
