The Ultracur3D ST 80W resin, developed by Forward AM (BASF), is a urethane-based photosensitive resin designed for DLP/LCD and MSLA technologies.
The ST series is the most robust and solid, suitable for the most demanding applications that require rigidity, impact resistance, and durability.
The ST 80 W resin is the most accessible in the ST range. It is recommended for its precision, stability, and beautiful matte black finish. It is impact-resistant but less rigid than the standard version.
It is also slightly more sensitive to temperature. Ultracur3D ST 80 W provides a fine finish. It is specifically designed for highly detailed printing and offers long-term UV stability.
Accessibility: The Ultracur3D ST80B urethane resin is technical, high-performing, and affordable. Resistant to prolonged stress, it is highly recommended for parts requiring high detail, a beautiful visual appearance, and mechanical resistance to wear and friction.
Precision: Urethane resins offer good precision and excellent dimensional stability. Compatible with the fastest and most precise 3D printers, BASF resins are designed for the most demanding applications requiring high performance and accuracy.
Ultracur3D photoreactive resins are highly sensitive to light, so they must be protected from UV exposure. Store them away from light and humidity. Always wear gloves when handling resin. Shake the resin well before use and let it sit for a few moments after pouring into the vat to allow air bubbles to dissipate.
To determine the best exposure time for your slicer and 3D printer, refer to our community. Always clean your printed part in IPA alcohol to remove any remaining liquid resin and maintain a consistent appearance.
The final step is to cure the part in a UV curing chamber to achieve optimal performance (approximately 20 minutes, depending on size and thickness).
