The Bambu Lab PVA is a water-soluble support filament specifically designed for printing complex parts that require reliable and easily removable support structures. Thanks to its full solubility, it enables advanced geometries to be printed without compromising the final quality of visible surfaces.
Its technical formulation ensures excellent compatibility with materials such as PLA while maintaining controlled adhesion during printing. Once the print is complete, the support fully dissolves in water, leaving a clean and precise surface without mechanical effort or risk of damaging the part.
Designed for modern printing environments, the Bambu Lab PVA integrates seamlessly with automated systems such as AMS. With RFID-based parameter recognition, setup becomes simpler, faster, and more reliable in daily use.
Fast and complete dissolution: Bambu Lab PVA is fully water-soluble, even in complex or hard-to-reach areas. This allows support removal without tools or mechanical force, significantly reducing the risk of breakage, surface marks, or deformation. Post-processing becomes simple and clean.
Ultra-clean support interface: Thanks to precisely controlled adhesion, this filament ensures a very fine interface between the support and the part. This results in perfectly smooth surfaces, even in critical areas such as overhangs or internal cavities, without sanding or heavy finishing work.
AMS compatibility and automation: Bambu Lab PVA features integrated RFID parameters that enable automatic recognition by AMS systems. This greatly simplifies print setup and ensures optimized settings without manual input, delivering a smoother and safer user experience.
To ensure optimal performance, it is essential to dry the filament at 80 °C for 12 hours before use. Storage should be done in an airtight environment with humidity below 20% RH to prevent material degradation.
Printing should be carried out within a temperature range of 220–250 °C, with a heated bed between 35–45 °C using a suitable adhesive. A printing speed below 200 mm/s is recommended to ensure stable and consistent extrusion.
This filament must be used exclusively as a support material and should not be used for final parts. It is incompatible with 0.2 mm nozzles and requires strict dry storage to maintain long-term performance.
