Precision cutting module

The core of the Bambu Lab H2 / A2L Cutting Upgrade Kit is a cutting module optimized for fine paths. It delivers clean cuts across compatible materials with high stability and accurate guidance, even on tight curves and complex patterns.

Dual-surface cutting mats

The kit includes double-sided cutting mats designed to stabilize materials. Their controlled adhesion prevents movement during cutting while allowing clean removal of both thin sheets and more rigid materials without deformation.

Integrated drawing and writing function

The integrated pen holder extends usage beyond cutting. It turns the printer into a plotter for technical drawing or customization, maintaining high tracing precision using the existing machine motion system.

Native integration in the Bambu ecosystem

The Bambu Lab H2 / A2L Cutting Upgrade Kit works seamlessly within the Bambu software ecosystem. File preparation tools allow a smooth transition from digital model to physical cutting with minimal workflow interruption, reducing errors and simplifying setup.

Camera calibration and limitations (H2C / A2L)

On the H2C, the Birds Eye Camera requires the Laser Module for calibration. Without it, camera functions cannot be used with the Cutting Upgrade Kit for photo capture and alignment. Support for calibration without the laser module is planned in a future OTA firmware update.

On the A2L, there is no Birds Eye Camera, meaning fully automatic spatial alignment is not available. However, users can rely on Bambu Handy with smartphone-assisted photo alignment. The Print-then-Cut feature is currently in development and may be added in a future OTA update.

Fast switching between cutting and drawing

Tool switching between blade and pen is designed to be quick and seamless. This modular approach allows multiple operations without full recalibration, saving time in creative production workflows.
