The ecoPLA-CF Forshape is a 3D filament based on modified PLA with a carbon fiber load. This material combines the ease of printing of the PLA with an improved rigidity and a carefully matte finish. The addition of carbon allows for more resistant parts, less susceptible to deformation and visually more homogeneous. Thanks to its dimensional stability and its low shrinkage, it prints without specific difficulty, even on printers not equipped with a closed enclosure.

The ecoPLA-CF Forshape was developed using a PLA matrix enriched with carbon fibres. This formulation choice allows us to achieve a filament that combines the great ease of use of PLA and the mechanical advantages brought by the carbon load. The result: more rigid, more stable parts with a value-enhancing matte finish.
Unlike other technical materials, carbon PLA remains easy to print and does not require specific conditions. It is therefore an excellent compromise for users looking for a versatile, reliable and aesthetic filament, suitable for both prototyping and final part manufacturing.
Easy and stable printing: One of the main advantages of PLA is its ease of printing. With the carbon version, this quality is maintained while benefiting from better mechanical resistance. The risks of warping are almost non-existent, and dimensional accuracy is remarkable. Even on printers not equipped with a housing, the results obtained are regular, making this filament accessible to a wide range of users, from beginners to professionals.
Improved Carbon Rigidity: The carbon fibre load provides additional rigidity to standard PLA. Printed parts have better mechanical strength, withstand bending better and maintain their dimensions under stress. This feature paves the way for the production of technical parts, jigs or functional supports, while maintaining the simplicity of a material commonly used in 3D printing.
Professional Visual Appearance: Thanks to the presence of carbon fibres, printed surfaces have a matte and homogeneous finish, reducing the glossy effect characteristic of classic PLA. This natural finish also masks the printing layers, greatly improving the visual aspect without requiring post-processing. This result is particularly appreciated for prototype presentation or for final parts requiring an aesthetic finish.
The ecoPLA-CF Forshape remains simple to implement. An extrusion temperature between 190°C and 230°C is recommended, with a heating bed set between 50°C and 60°C. As carbon fibre has an abrasive effect, the use of a hardened steel nozzle or equivalent is strongly recommended to preserve the life of the equipment. A moderate printing speed (40-150 mm/s) allows for an ideal compromise between precision and productivity. No enclosed enclosure is necessary, which further enhances the accessibility of this filament.
