Usage of PolyMide PA12-CF
PolyMide PA12-CF is a 3D filament developed by Polymaker. Featuring “Warp Free” technology, this carbon fiber reinforced nylon provides high mechanical and thermal performance. Its low moisture sensitivity ensures long-lasting properties.
The PA12-CF filament is a technical composite material suitable for professional and industrial applications. Excellent for tooling or high-stress parts.
PA12-CF: Key Features
Rigidity: PA12-CF is a polyamide filament (PA12) reinforced with carbon fiber, significantly increasing rigidity with an impressive flexural strength of 110 MPa.
Thermal resistance: This PA12 base composite is naturally resistant to high temperatures >100°C. The carbon version retains this property with a heat deflection temperature under load of 105°C.
Low moisture sensitivity: PA12 absorbs very little moisture compared to standard nylon. PA12-CF also offers good chemical resistance.
Our recommendations for using PA12-CF
PA12-CF filament is compatible with semi-professional and professional 3D printers, both Bowden and direct drive.
We recommend a high extrusion temperature for this filament, between 260 and 300°C depending on speed, nozzle, and layer height settings. A heated bed between 25 and 50°C and an appropriate adhesion solution are also necessary.
