Raise3D PA12 CF+ Black Industrial

Raise3D Industrial PA12 CF+ is a carbon fiber-reinforced composite filament made of polyamide 612 (PA612, Nylon612). PA612 combines the best properties of PA6 and PA12, such as toughness and reduced water absorption. The addition of 15% by weight of short carbon fibers with optimized length distribution enhances the mechanical and thermal properties as well as the surface quality of printed parts.

Compared to Raise3D Industrial PA12 CF, it offers a higher strength-to-weight ratio, better interlayer adhesion (Z-direction strength), and improved dimensional stability. After annealing, thermal and mechanical properties are further enhanced. PA12 CF+ is an optimal choice for lightweight and stable end-use applications such as devices and numerous functional parts in manufacturing, automotive, and aerospace sectors.

Using carbon fiber-reinforced polyamide also generally results in parts with a better surface finish.

This Raise3D PA12 CF+ Black Industrial filament of very high quality was specifically designed for the Raise3D E2CF and its IdeaMaker software (profiles available on the Raise3D website), making its use simplified.

Nevertheless, this material is compatible with other printers that accept 1.75mm filaments.

Usage Recommendations for Raise3D PA12 CF+ Black Industrial

Although developed primarily for the Raise3D E2CF, this PA12 CF+ Black Industrial can be used on other open 3D printers that accept 1.75mm filaments.

As with all fiber-filled materials that are abrasive, using a reinforced steel or ruby nozzle is highly recommended.

This PA12 CF+ is less prone to warping or layer separation than standard polyamide, and using a bed adhesive provides comfort and ensures good printing. Our experts recommend Magigoo PA, specifically designed for Nylon.

The Raise3D Drying Box is essential to dry your filament before printing. Nylon is highly sensitive to moisture, making this step mandatory.

We recommend setting your printer's extrusion temperature between 280 and 290°C for optimal printing of Raise3D PA12 CF+.

A printing speed between 35 and 90mm/s and a heated bed between 60 and 80°C are also recommended.
