The eco-friendly PolyTerra PLA+ Violet filament has been developed by Polymaker using a technique called "Fully Bio Compound (FBC)", which is a blend of PLA (biodegradable polymer made from corn starch, beetroot, and wheat) and organic minerals. This PLA+ version optimizes the interlayer adhesion with 27% more adhesion between layers and 29% more strength compared to the standard PolyTerra.
If you're looking for a cost-effective or eco-friendly PLA, or both, the PolyTerra™ PLA+ filament is definitely your first choice. Additionally, if used as a support material, PolyTerra™ PLA+ Violet can be easily removed.
The PolyTerra PLA+ filament is used for everything from simple prototyping to finished decorative pieces or accessories.
Excellent value for money: This filament offers very high quality for over 20 € per kilo.
Strength: The PolyTerra PLA+ Violet filament has enhanced mechanical strength and improved interlayer adhesion compared to standard PolyTerra.
Eco-responsibility: Polymaker is committed through the ONETREEPLANTED association to plant a tree for every spool of PolyTerra sold.
Recycled spool: The spool and packaging of PolyTerra PLA+ Violet filament are fully recycled, ensuring environmental responsibility.
Finish: Give your prints a unique appearance with the satin-like finish of PolyTerra PLA+ Violet.
PolyTerra PLA+ Violet is compatible with all 3D machines on the market, whether in 1.75mm or 2.85mm sizes.
We recommend setting your printer to an extrusion temperature between 190°C and 220°C for optimal printing of PolyTerra PLA+ Violet. A print speed between 30 and 70mm/s, as well as the use of a heated bed between 25°C and 60°C, are also recommended.
If your printer is equipped with a direct drive extrusion system, the recommended retraction distance is 1mm at 30mm/s. If your printer uses a Bowden extrusion system, the recommended retraction distance is 3mm at 60mm/s.
