SprintRay NanoPrint: dental 3D printing designed for chairside use

The SprintRay NanoPrint is a resin-based dental 3D printer designed to meet the everyday needs of dental practices. Its compact footprint and automated operation make it possible to manufacture the devices required for each patient directly in the practice, without dedicating a large area to production.

Compatible with 16 dental indications and the entire range of validated SprintRay resins, the NanoPrint adapts to different workflows: night guards, removable dental prostheses, surgical guides, hybrid prostheses, dental models and clear retainers.

With AutoPrint, files are prepared automatically before printing. Combined with NanoWash and NanoCure, the NanoPrint integrates into a coordinated ecosystem that simplifies the sequence of manufacturing steps, from the digital file through to post-processing.

A dental 3D printer designed for the needs of dental practices

Most dental jobs concern a single patient and require only a few parts. The SprintRay NanoPrint has been designed for this type of individualised production while retaining sufficient capacity to process full-arch cases. It therefore makes it possible to integrate digital manufacturing into everyday workflows, close to the treatment rooms.

SprintRay NanoPrint - Chairside dental 3D printing

Chairside manufacturing

Install the NanoPrint near your treatment area to benefit from a manufacturing solution directly in your dental practice. Its compact footprint meets the needs of practitioners who want to integrate 3D printing into their activities without dedicating an entire room to production.

Print jobs can be prepared according to the supported indications and the needs of each patient.

SprintRay NanoPrint - Nano series with NanoWash and NanoCure

A 40% smaller footprint

The NanoPrint is part of the Nano series, which combines printing, washing and post-curing in a compact setup.

The three NanoPrint, NanoWash and NanoCure units occupy approximately 72 cm of combined width, representing 40% less workspace than the reference configuration presented by the manufacturer. A solution designed to optimise the space available in the practice.

Precision suited to SprintRay dental materials

The quality of a dental print depends on the coordination between the light source, optical characteristics, material temperature and manufacturing parameters.

The SprintRay NanoPrint combines these elements to work with SprintRay resins and their validated profiles.

SprintRay NanoPrint - 35 µm optical panel

A 35 µm optical panel

The NanoPrint features a 35 µm optical panel designed to reproduce the details of dental parts with precision.

This XY resolution helps produce well-defined margins and smooth recessed surfaces. Its insertion system facilitates removal and allows the panel to be maintained in the practice, without always having to call on a technician.

SprintRay NanoPrint - 385 nm UV-A light system

A 385 nm light source

The NanoPrint's light system is designed for a wavelength of 385 nm, used by SprintRay resins. This design aims to provide uniform photopolymerisation in accordance with the photoinitiators used in the manufacturer's materials.

Validated profiles help maintain a consistent manufacturing process and the expected properties of printed parts.

SprintRay NanoPrint - 150 ml resin tank with RFID

A 150 ml resin tank with RFID

The 150 ml tank is suited to individualised manufacturing, helping limit the amount of resin tied up between jobs.

Thanks to RFID technology, the NanoPrint identifies the loaded material and applies the corresponding profile. The system also blocks the use of an incompatible profile, helping reduce material selection errors.

SprintRay NanoPrint - Heated print platform

A heated print platform

The hard-anodised aluminium platform is designed to withstand repeated handling and cleaning. Its heating system brings the resin to printing temperature before the process starts.

This temperature regulation helps maintain a more consistent viscosity and promotes adhesion of the first layers, even when the ambient temperature varies.

AutoPrint: automate print preparation

The SprintRay NanoPrint features AutoPrint, a system designed to simplify the preparation of dental jobs. Its purpose is to reduce software operations before printing while retaining the ability to adjust settings when the workflow requires it.

SprintRay NanoPrint - Automated print preparation with AutoPrint

Automated nesting, orientation and support generation

AutoPrint prepares files by arranging parts on the build platform, determining their orientation and generating supports suited to the selected indication.

Nesting rules are associated with the corresponding commands and profiles. The job is therefore prepared for printing, while allowing the user to take control again when necessary.

SprintRay NanoPrint - Connected software and print monitoring

Connected management from your devices

The NanoPrint receives profile updates through a cloud connection. Users can queue jobs, check their status or retrieve a job from a laptop, iPad or smartphone.

This connectivity makes print monitoring easier and provides access to new profiles validated by SprintRay as they become available.

SprintRay NanoPrint - Print profiles tailored to dental indications

Profiles designed for each indication

Each resin has nesting and support parameters tailored to the NanoPrint. These profiles are designed to simplify job preparation and reduce manual adjustments.

When a new resin or indication becomes supported, SprintRay can distribute the corresponding profiles through a software update, without necessarily requiring the printer to be replaced.

A coordinated workflow with NanoWash and NanoCure

The SprintRay NanoPrint is the first link in the Nano series. It is designed to work with NanoWash and NanoCure to coordinate printing, washing and photopolymerisation.

The Job Handoff function transfers jobs from one stage to the next and helps streamline post-processing.

SprintRay NanoWash - Washing and drying printed dental parts

NanoWash: automated washing

NanoWash handles the washing and drying of parts after printing. SprintRay specifies a combined six-minute cycle under the conditions defined by the manufacturer.

The system uses solvent tanks equipped with RFID technology to identify the corresponding programme. Its enclosed design and vapour extraction system help organise the post-processing workstation.

SprintRay NanoCure - Photopolymerisation of dental parts

NanoCure: final photopolymerisation

NanoCure performs the photopolymerisation stage after washing. Its dual-wavelength system and thermal management are designed to process compatible SprintRay materials.

This stage is essential to develop the expected final properties of printed parts. Processing parameters must be adapted to the resin and the indication concerned.

A printer designed to evolve with dental applications

Materials and applications in digital dentistry evolve regularly. SprintRay develops new formulations and profiles at its Biomaterial Innovation Lab. The NanoPrint is designed to receive software updates corresponding to new applications validated by the manufacturer.

This approach allows the equipment's capabilities to evolve as new updates become available, without systematically replacing the printer for every new application. Compatibility must nevertheless be checked for each resin and indication offered by SprintRay.

SprintRay resins compatible with the NanoPrint

The SprintRay NanoPrint is designed to work with resins validated by SprintRay, covering a range of digital dentistry applications. Each material has printing parameters tailored to its intended use.

From dental models to prosthetic devices, resin selection depends on the clinical indication, the desired properties and the manufacturing protocol recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Dental models: resins designed for study models, full arches and quadrants.
  • Night guards: NightGuard Flex and NightGuard Firm materials, depending on the required properties.
  • Surgical guides: resins suited to the manufacture of implant surgical guides.
  • Dental prostheses: Apex resins for denture bases and prosthetic teeth.
  • Hybrid prostheses: materials compatible with workflows validated by SprintRay.
  • Clear retainers: SprintRay Retainer resin for the direct printing of compatible retainer devices.
  • Dental restorations: materials designed for prosthetic indications validated by the manufacturer.
