The xTool X1 combines laser cutting, precision engraving and upgradeability in a 5-in-1 platform. Compatible with several laser technologies, it can process a wide variety of materials, from wood and acrylic to metals and glass, depending on the laser source used. Its large working area and modular architecture help creators and businesses expand their range of applications.
Thanks to its modular Laser Swap™ architecture, the xTool X1 can accommodate different laser sources to extend its capabilities to glass and metal. Combined with Hybrid Motion™ and ACS™ technologies, it brings together engraving speed, automation and flexibility. Diode Galvo, UV, MOPA and fiber laser modules are available depending on the selected configuration.
The xTool X1 lets you adapt the laser technology to the materials and results you are looking for. The 55 W CO₂ source forms the machine's base configuration, while additional modules unlock further possibilities, including fast engraving, glass personalisation and advanced metal marking. Each source is designed for specific applications and requires a compatible configuration.
The 55 W CO₂ laser is particularly well suited to cutting and engraving non-metallic materials. It can be used to create signs, decorations, models, panels and personalised objects in wood, acrylic, leather and paper.
Its cutting capacity reaches 18 mm in basswood and 20 mm in acrylic, depending on operating conditions.
The 20 W Diode Galvo module prioritises processing speed and the reproduction of fine details. It is suitable for personalising wood, leather and cardboard, as well as marking certain compatible materials.
It can also mark painted or coated metals. With Hybrid Motion™ technology, the stated maximum speed reaches 6,000 mm/s.
The 5 W UV laser source enables applications that are difficult to achieve with a conventional CO₂ laser, particularly internal glass engraving. It is suitable for personalising crystal trophies, glass keepsakes and certain heat-sensitive plastics or printed circuit boards.
Its low-heat processing helps produce fine details and clean edges. This optional source requires the Diode Galvo module.
The 60 W MOPA laser source is designed for users looking to develop advanced metal-processing applications. It can be used for colour engraving on certain metals, relief creation and personalisation of high-value parts.
Results depend on the material, its finish and the parameters used. This optional source expands the xTool X1's capabilities and requires the Diode Galvo module.
The 30 W fiber laser source is designed for metal engraving and marking. It is suitable for personalising plates, technical components, accessories and metal objects.
Depending on the application, it can also be used for relief engraving. It is intended for workshops looking to add metal marking to their range of services. This optional source requires the Diode Galvo module.
The xTool X1 combines a hybrid motion system, a modular laser architecture and automation features. These technologies are designed to bring large-format cutting and high-speed engraving together in one machine. They also make it easier to upgrade the equipment as requirements change, without replacing the entire platform.
Hybrid Motion™ coordinates the gantry's movement along the X and Y axes with two galvanometer mirrors. This four-axis system combines an extended working area with the fast scanning capabilities of Galvo technology.
With compatible sources, the manufacturer specifies a maximum speed of 6,000 mm/s and a Galvo processing area of 614 × 320 mm, depending on the operating mode.
The Laser Swap™ system enables different laser sources to be used within the same optical platform. The xTool X1 features a 55 W CO₂ head and can accommodate the 20 W Diode Galvo module.
This module is required to add the 5 W UV, 60 W MOPA or 30 W fiber sources. This modular design makes it possible to expand applications gradually according to the materials to be processed and production requirements.
The ACS™ automated creation system simplifies job preparation using three cameras and an AutoLift base. The cameras help locate the material and position the design, while the base automatically adjusts the height of the work platform.
Combined with focusing and ranging functions, these technologies reduce some of the manual adjustments required before starting a job and make it easier to repeat operations.
The xTool X1 features a large working area, a camera-based positioning system and functions designed to simplify setup. Its performance varies according to the installed laser source and the process used. It is therefore important to distinguish the specifications of the CO₂ configuration from the figures given for Galvo modules and specialised laser sources.
The AutoLift base automatically adjusts the work platform height to make it easier to position material beneath the laser head. It simplifies project setup when working with pieces of different thicknesses.
On the xTool X1, the stated maximum processing height is 150 mm with the CO₂ laser, compared with 140 mm with the Diode, UV, MOPA and fiber sources. The setting must be appropriate for the configuration and material being used.
The xTool X1 vision system combines an 8 MP wide-angle camera, a 12 MP macro camera and a height camera. It helps identify the material's position and place designs within the working area.
Positioning accuracy varies depending on the camera and the area being observed. The system is complemented by autofocus and LiDAR ranging to assist with job preparation.
The xTool X1's surface engraving area measures 615 × 320 mm, making it suitable for decorative panels, signs, personalised objects and batches of small parts.
Dedicated areas are available for specialised processes: internal glass engraving and metal relief engraving each have specific dimensions. The machine measures 1,000 × 580 × 420 mm and the main unit weighs 60 kg.
Maximum speed depends on the installed source. The 55 W CO₂ laser reaches up to 600 mm/s, while compatible Galvo sources are rated at up to 6,000 mm/s.
CO₂ is particularly suited to cutting and processing non-metallic materials, while Galvo technology is designed for fast engraving. The actual speed depends on the design, material, resolution and processing settings.
The xTool X1 combines laser performance with a safety-focused design, allowing you to concentrate on your projects. Its Class 1 laser classification, FDA-certified, is part of an approach designed to make everyday use easier.
From detailed engraving and cutting a variety of materials to personalised objects, this versatile platform supports your creative projects when used in accordance with the recommended safety instructions and installation requirements.
xTool Studio is the software designed to prepare and control jobs on the xTool X1. It allows you to organise engraving and cutting operations, adjust settings and work with SVG, DXF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP and TIF files. The machine supports USB and Wi-Fi connections.
In addition, Atomm AI offers creative tools, more than 130 generators, over 60,000 projects and tutorials. This platform helps you find inspiration and explore new designs to adapt to your own creations.
The xTool X1 stands out for its versatility, large working area and technologies designed to expand the possibilities of laser engraving and cutting. With a 615 × 320 mm working area and performance focused on precision and speed, it can handle a wide range of projects, from personalised creations to batch production.
Its main advantage lies in its upgradeable architecture: different laser sources allow the machine to be adapted to new materials and applications as requirements evolve. It is an interesting solution for creators and businesses looking to diversify their activities without multiplying equipment, by choosing the technologies best suited to their projects.
