Using PolyTerra Army Red

The eco-friendly PLA filament PolyTerra Army Red was developed by Polymaker using a technique called "Fully Bio Compound (FBC)", which combines PLA (biodegradable polymer made from corn, beet, and wheat starch) with organic minerals.

If you are looking for an economical or eco-friendly PLA filament, or both, PolyTerra PLA ™ is definitely your first choice. Additionally, if used as a support material, PolyTerra ™ PLA can be easily removed.

PolyTerra filament is used for simple prototyping up to finished decorative or functional parts.

PolyTerra Army Red: Key Features

Excellent value for money: this filament offers very high quality for over €20 per kilogram.

Recommendations for Using PolyTerra

PolyTerra Army Red is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market, in both 1.75 and 2.85mm.

We recommend setting the extrusion temperature between 190 and 230°C for optimal printing conditions. A print speed between 30 and 70 mm/s and a heated bed temperature between 25 and 60°C are also recommended.

If your printer has a direct drive extrusion system, the recommended retraction distance is 1 mm at 20 mm/s. For Bowden systems, the retraction distance is 3 mm at 40 mm/s.

Finally, for food contact compliance, although PolyTerra Army Red meets the main standards, some printed parts may have cracks and holes that are invisible to the naked eye. Bacteria can generally proliferate in these areas.
