The eco-friendly PLA filament PolyTerra Grey Orange was developed by Polymaker using a technique called "Fully Bio Compound (FBC)", which is a blend of PLA (a biodegradable polymer based on corn, beet, and wheat starch) and organic minerals.
If you are looking for a cost-effective or environmentally friendly PLA, or both, the PolyTerra PLA ™ ️ filament is definitely your first choice. Moreover, if used as a support material, PolyTerra ™ ️ PLA can be easily removed.
PolyTerra filament can be used for simple prototyping as well as for finished decorative or accessory parts.
Excellent value for money: this filament offers very high quality at over €20 per kilogram.
Rigidity: PolyTerra PLA Grey Orange has higher rigidity than standard PLA.
Eco-responsibility: Polymaker commits, via the ONETREEPLANTED association, to plant one tree for every PolyTerra spool sold.
Recycled spool: the reel and packaging of PolyTerra Grey Orange filament are fully recycled for environmental respect.
Matte finish: give your prints a unique look thanks to the matte finish of PolyTerra Grey Orange.
Food contact compliant: Polymaker PolyTerra complies with RoHS 2011/65/EU, 2015/863 and REACH standards.
PolyTerra Grey Orange is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market for both 1.75 and 2.85mm filaments.
We recommend setting your printer with an extrusion temperature between 190 and 230°C to print PolyTerra Grey Orange under optimal conditions. A print speed between 30 and 70mm/s and using a heated bed between 25 and 60°C are also recommended.
If your printer has a direct drive extrusion system, the recommended retraction distance is 1mm at 20mm/s. If it uses a Bowden system, the recommended retraction distance is 3mm at 40mm/s.
Finally, regarding food contact compliance, even if PolyTerra Grey Orange meets the main standards, some printed parts may have small invisible cracks or holes. Bacteria can generally proliferate in these areas.
