Polymaker PLA Matte White Production

PLA matt is a cost-effective PLA with the most important features for the production of finished products:

With all these characteristics combined, PLA matt is the ideal material for finished products that will be used in real-life conditions: weather resistance, chemical resistance and the filament has already passed food safety tests.

Details of weather resistance tests

We tested the impact of accelerated ageing on the following mechanical properties:

Tensile strength
Young's modulus
Charpy impact strength

Accelerated ageing parameters :

Exposure to fluorescent UV light in accordance with ISO 4892.3

The type of UV light is UVA-340.
Irradiation is 0.76 W/m2 at 340 nm.
The cycle is 102 minutes for UV only and 18 minutes for water spray.
The temperature of the black panel is 63 ± 3°C
The total duration of the test is 60 days (720 cycles), equivalent to more than 3 years*.

Details of the chemical resistance test

Reference standard: ISO 175:2010

Test methods for determining the effects of immersion in liquid chemicals

Immersion temperature: 23±2˚C
Immersion time: 7 days
Test of mechanical properties before and after immersion
Chemical resistance: mechanical properties* must be maintained at over 70% after 7 days immersion.

*Tensile strength, Young's modulus and Charpy impact resistance
