PolyCast from Polymaker is designed for 3D printing molds used in investment casting applications. 3D printing provides a modern alternative to traditional methods. It significantly reduces both cost and production time while offering greater design freedom, opening up new opportunities for optimization.
It enables the printing of molds for metal part production faster and at lower cost than traditional processes. Since PolyCast is compatible with the Polysher, the resulting metal parts feature excellent surface quality.
With clean burnout without residue and outstanding surface finish, PolyCast is ideal for manufacturing metal parts with complex geometries or small production runs.
Clean, residue-free burnout: PolyCast SP802C completely burns out in the furnace without leaving residues, ensuring a clean and flawless mold ready for casting.
Cost-effective: Using Polymaker’s PolyCast significantly lowers costs compared to traditional lost-wax casting, which requires dedicated tooling.
Polishable before casting: To achieve a smooth, neat surface and ensure the best metal part finish, PolyCast can be polished in the Polysher to remove print layer marks.
Easy to print: PolyCast prints under similar conditions to PLA, offering excellent dimensional stability and zero warping.
PolyCast Natural prints easily on any FDM 3D printer equipped with a heated bed and cooling system. Recommended extrusion temperature: 200–230°C, bed temperature: 30–70°C, and print speed: 40–90 mm/s.
Parts printed with PolyCast can be post-processed using the Polysher, Polymaker’s polishing tool. This step is recommended to ensure smooth surfaces and successful mold production.
PolyCast SP802C is moisture-sensitive; it should be stored in a dry environment or used with the PolyBox to maintain optimal print quality.
