Use of CoPA 6-6.6

The Black Nylon CoPA 6-6.6 from Polymaker is a copolymer based on Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6. With excellent mechanical properties and increased resistance to high temperatures (180°C), Polymaker’s PolyMide CoPA is used in engineering and automotive applications.

Its excellent dimensional stability and low warping tendency make it a top choice for functional parts.

CoPA 6-6.6 Black Nylon: Key strengths

Strength and durability: Polymaker PolyMide is a nylon filament with very high mechanical strength, ideal for 3D prints subject to wear and stress.

Heat resistance: This nylon filament can withstand temperatures up to 180°C.

Warp-free printing: PolyMide CoPA has excellent layer adhesion, low warping, and does not necessarily require a heated bed.

Our recommendations for using Polymaker PolyMide

PolyMide CoPA prints at an extrusion temperature between 250 and 265°C and at a print speed of 40 to 60mm/s. A heated bed can be used between 0 and 70°C.

Since nylon is moisture-sensitive, we recommend storing the PolyMide CoPA spool in Polymaker’s PolyBox to ensure the best printing quality.
