Using PolyDissolve S1

PolyDissolve S1 is a PVA-based water-soluble filament designed by Polymaker. Its compatibility with PLA, TPU, and Nylon makes it ideal for printing support structures for complex geometries with the second extruder (dual extrusion).

PolyDissolve S1: Key strengths

Easy water dissolution: The PolyDissolve S1 soluble filament is a PVA-based material that dissolves easily in water.

Excellent adhesion: This Polymaker PVA is designed to ensure excellent bonding with compatible build materials.

Compatibility: PolyDissolve S1 works with standard PLA, TPU, and Nylon, as well as optimized settings for PolyMax PLA, PolyLite PLA, PolyWood, PolyFlex TPU 95A, PolyMide CoPA, PolySmooth, and PolyCast.

Our recommendations for PolyDissolve S1

The PolyDissolve S1 soluble filament prints at an extrusion temperature between 215 and 225°C with a bed temperature between 25 and 60°C and a printing speed of 30–40 mm/s. Using BuildTak, glue, or tape is recommended to improve bed adhesion.

Since this material is highly sensitive to moisture, we strongly recommend using the Polymaker PolyBox during 3D printing, and always storing the spool in its resealable packaging when not in use. For best results, dry the filament at 80°C for 12 hours.
