The Ultrafuse PA filament is the result of BASF 's work to integrate Ultramid® into the world of 3D printing. An alloy of PA6 and PA66 of intermediate viscosity that offers very interesting mechanical and thermal properties.
The Ultrafuse PA filament offers greater resistance to impact and wear than standard PA6 or PA66. It is ideal for the manufacture of industrial parts in the engineering, automotive and aerospace industries, to name but a few.
Mechanical resistance: Ultrafuse PA has very high mechanical resistance and is highly resistant to impact, wear, and deformation.
High rigidity material: You can print 3D parts and semi-flexible models or very rigid parts depending on the thickness of the part printed.
Low melting temperature: The melting temperature of this Ultrafuse PA filament is relatively low, making it printable on many professional 3D printers.
The Ultrafuse PA filament is a Nylon PA6/66 which is relatively easy to print. It will require a printer capable of extruding filament at a temperature of 220 to 250°Cand a heating plate capable of reaching 120°C. We recommend that you use glue to increase the adhesion of the Ultrafuse PA filament to the platen during printing.
Ultrafuse PA filament is very sensitive to humidity and we recommend that you keep it in an oven such as a hot plate Polybox and dry it thoroughly if necessary.
