Standard PLA tends to reach its limits when printing at high speed. Polymaker’s PolySonic™ PLA filament is specially designed to meet the requirements of high-speed printing. This special material offers ultra-fast extrusion rates and excellent layer adhesion without compromising quality or performance.

High-speed highlights with PolySonic PLA White 1.75mm

A material is considered “High Speed” if it meets the following 3 criteria at a given printing temperature:

Flowability: It can consistently extrude at 24mm3/s on a popular extrusion system (equivalent to 300mm/s at 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle).

Formability: At 24mm3/s, it maintains surface quality, overhangs, and bridging similar to prints made at lower speeds.

Functionality: At 24mm3/s, it retains at least 80% of its overall mechanical properties compared to lower speed printing (mainly: interlayer adhesion, tensile strength, and impact resistance).

Our usage recommendations with this PolySonic PLA

PolySonic PLA is a filament compatible with all open 3D printers using 1.75mm extrusion.

We recommend setting your printer to an extrusion temperature between 190 and 230°C to print PolySonic PLA in optimal conditions. A printing speed between 50 and 300mm/s and a heated bed up to 60°C are also recommended.
