How to Install the Refill on the Spool

Installing the PLA Basic refill on the Bambu Lab reusable spool is quick and easy. You can also print your own spool by downloading the file here.

  1. Open the packaging carefully to avoid damaging the filament. Separate the two parts of your reusable spool.
  2. Locate the small notch on the wide part of the spool and align it with the inner ring notch of the filament refill. Then insert the spool into the refill.
  3. Insert the narrow part of the spool by aligning the inner grooves of both parts until they snap together securely.
  4. Once properly inserted, rotate the narrow piece clockwise until it slides into place and you hear a locking click.
  5. Tear and remove the plastic straps, starting with the one closest to the filament end. Insert the filament into one of the spool holes to prevent it from unwinding or tangling. Finally, remove the remaining three straps.
