Designed to extend the capabilities of the Makera Carvera Air, the 4th Axis Module enables rotary machining, allowing the creation of complex objects such as tool handles, miniature columns, or symmetrical technical components. Its full integration with Carvera firmware and software ensures automatic installation and calibration without tedious setup.
The system relies on a high-precision stepper motor coupled to a robust chuck, guaranteeing smooth, backlash-free rotation. This setup ensures consistent angular accuracy even for demanding machining tasks while maintaining the compact size required for desktop use.
The 4th axis module for Makera Carvera Air enables the machining of cylindrical parts up to 92 mm in diameter and 200 mm in length, expanding the possibilities for your CNC projects.
Its rotary axis is ideal for engraving, carving and machining cylindrical parts, such as handles, decorative objects and technical prototypes.
Manufactured from CNC machined aluminum, the module offers excellent rigidity and durability for regular use. It can be used for cylindrical pattern engraving, light turning, or prototyping mechanical parts requiring continuous rotation.
Usage tips: For optimal results, balance the part mounted on the chuck to avoid vibrations. Use moderate feed rates and ensure wiring is clear of the rotation area. The 4th axis module works seamlessly with the Carvera Air’s tool-changing system, enabling a combination of 3-axis and rotary machining operations..
