Nanovia Flex VX 1.75mm – Virucidal Flexible Filament
With the Flex VX filament, you can easily design and manufacture flexible parts with high shock absorption capabilities. This virucidal filament helps limit the spread of biological contaminants and is certified ISO 21702:2019.
Thanks to its active virucidal agent, this filament eliminates 95.3% of the H1N1 virus after just 1 hour of contact and nearly 100% after 4 hours.
Nanovia's Flex VX is very well suited for designing flexible parts used in everyday life and frequent contact. With its excellent properties and being safe for skin contact, it is naturally used in applications such as:
- Flexible handles and handle covers
- Custom insoles
- Tactile paving
- Coatings for computer equipment, mice, keyboards
- Mask nose clips
The protection is long-lasting as the virucidal agent is embedded directly into the material. It is recommended to keep the surface clean from dust and pollutants, and to avoid applying varnish or paint.
Nanovia Flex VX complies with European standards and has been certified by an independent laboratory.
Effect of Nanovia Flex VX on Covid-19
To date, no certification standards exist to validate the action of this material on the virus. However, H1N1 and Covid-19 belong to the same structural family.
How to Print this Filament?
Nanovia Flex VX is a filament compatible with all 3D printers using 1.75mm extrusion and following the usage recommendations below.
This filament requires an extrusion temperature between 210 and 230°C. A heated bed should maintain a temperature between 20 and 40°C.
To ensure optimal print quality, we recommend drying your filament at 60°C for 4 hours or more if the spool has been exposed to air for an extended period.
Nanovia Flex VX cannot be sanded.
