The PolyMax PLA filament by Polymaker boasts impressive mechanical properties for a PLA. It is very easy to print and has up to 9 times higher strength than standard PLA, making it suitable for more functional applications.
Furthermore, it is an excellent alternative to ABS as its 20% greater strength than ABS makes it a highly desirable material. Limiting the odors released by ABS, this Black PLA is the ideal alternative.
Equipped with Jam-Free™ technology, which improves thermal stability and allows the material to melt quickly when it comes in contact with the heated zone of the print head, PolyMax PLA reduces the risk of nozzle clogging. This contributes to eliminating failure risks and ensures an excellent experience.
Using cutting-edge technologies like the one mentioned above and nano-reinforcement, which significantly improves the strength of this filament, this Black PLA is a premium, top-choice material.
Ultra-strong PLA: Up to 9 times stronger than standard PLA
Alternative to ABS: PolyMax PLA Black prints more easily than ABS and doesn't release odors
Jam-Free: The "Jam-Free" technology in PolyMax increases heat stability and ensures continuous extrusion to prevent nozzle clogging, resulting in impressively high-quality prints.
Large Format: With this format, 3D production can begin without the need to interrupt printing quickly.
The PolyMax PLA Black is compatible with all open 3D machines on the market, whether it is 1.75mm or 2.85mm.
We recommend setting your printer to an extrusion temperature between 190 and 230°C for optimal printing conditions.
A printing speed between 40 and 60mm/s and using a heated bed between 25 and 60°C are also recommended. A Ziflex-type Buildtak is also suggested for good adhesion of the first layer.
We recommend storing PolyMax in a box that limits exposure to moisture, such as a PolyBox with desiccants.
PolyMax can be easily sanded to achieve smooth parts, whether for functional or visual prototypes. PolyMax PLA is available in various colors, weights (1 kg & 2.3 kg), and diameters (1.75mm and 2.85mm).
