Air Manager for UM 2+ Connect

With a connected Air Manager, the 3D printer is enhanced with the following features:

UFP filtration: The Air Manager isolates and ensures airflow from inside to outside of the machine. The air passes through an E10 filter where ultrafine particles (UFP) are trapped.

Physical barrier: The closed top and front prevent users from reaching inside the machine during operation and ensure that environmental particles do not affect print results.

Note: The Air Manager will only function properly if all components are correctly installed. Ensure there are no gaps between the filter housing, cover, and printer. The front housing must be installed while the Air Manager fan is running. Make sure the Air Manager cable is properly connected and that the fan runs during printing.

Usage tips

Preparing prints in Ultimaker Cura does not require a special profile or machine settings. The Air Manager fan automatically turns on and off based on the nozzle and build plate temperatures:

The fan turns on if the nozzle and/or build plate reach a temperature > 50ºC.
The fan turns off if the nozzle and build plate reach a temperature < 45 ºC.

Once printing is complete, wait until the printer has fully cooled. This allows sufficient time to filter all particles generated during printing. Then remove the front housing to access the finished print on the build plate.
