Superior machinability: The composition of this Tough PLA allows the use of many post-processing techniques and provides better machinability than standard PLA.

Mechanical use: Tough PLA is an in-between material between PLA and ABS. You get ABS-like strength with higher stiffness.

Large parts: The easy printability of this Ultimaker Tough PLA Blue filament ensures no deformation, making it very useful for printing large parts.

Usage recommendations with Ultimaker Tough PLA filament

Just like standard PLA, Tough PLA prints at moderate temperatures. The nozzle temperature should be between 210 and 220 °C and the build plate temperature should be set at 60 °C. Depending on the selected profile, there are small differences in nozzle temperatures. These have been optimized for correct printing with the selected print core size and layer height profile. Tough PLA generally adheres well to your heated glass plate, but it is recommended to apply a thin layer of glue (such as Magigoo Original) to improve build plate adhesion.
