Polymaker HT-PLA Gradient Fire is an enhanced PLA filament developed to exceed the thermal limits of standard PLA. While the latter softens around 60 °C, this high-temperature version can withstand up to 150 °C (annealing recommended). This performance is achieved thanks to an optimized polymer chain formulation.
Its main strength lies in its ease of use. Just like standard PLA, it prints without difficulty while offering remarkable dimensional stability. Polymaker HT-PLA Gradient Fire is therefore ideal for both beginners and professionals looking to produce durable and technical parts.
High heat resistance: After annealing, parts remain rigid and stable up to 150 °C, making this filament a solid choice for electronic housings, small mechanical parts or outdoor use.
Easy and reliable printing: Despite its improved performance, this filament retains the printability of PLA. A nozzle temperature between 210 and 230 °C ensures smooth extrusion and excellent layer adhesion. Warping is minimal, allowing larger prints without issues. Its wide compatibility makes it accessible to most consumer 3D printers.
Smooth and precise surface: Along with its mechanical and thermal properties, Polymaker HT-PLA Gradient Fire delivers a high-quality visual finish. Printed parts show a smooth, uniform surface, reducing the need for heavy post-processing. This makes it suitable for presentation prototypes as well as professional-looking technical parts.
For best results, print at a nozzle temperature of 210–230 °C and a heated bed between 25–60 °C. Printing speeds can reach up to 300 mm/s.
Annealing is strongly recommended to achieve maximum heat resistance: place the part in a domestic oven at 80–100 °C for 20–30 minutes, then let it cool down slowly.
A moderate cooling fan setting helps balance strength and surface quality.
