The eco-friendly PLA filament PolyTerra PLA+ Blue was developed by Polymaker using a technique called "Fully Bio Compound (FBC)", which combines PLA (biodegradable polymer made from corn, beet, and wheat starch) and organic minerals. This PLA+ version optimizes interlayer bonding with 27% more layer adhesion and 29% higher strength compared to standard PolyTerra.
If you are looking for a cost-effective or eco-friendly PLA, or both, the PolyTerra™ PLA+ filament is definitely your top choice. Additionally, if used as a support material, PolyTerra™️ PLA+ Blue can be easily removed.
The PolyTerra PLA+ filament is used for simple prototyping up to finished parts for decoration or accessories.
Excellent value: this filament offers very high quality for over €20 per kilogram.
Strength: PolyTerra PLA+ Blue has higher mechanical resistance and reinforced interlayer bonding compared to standard PolyTerra.
Eco-friendly: Polymaker, through the ONETREEPLANTED association, plants a tree for every PolyTerra spool sold.
Recycled spool: the spool and packaging of PolyTerra PLA+ Blue are fully recycled to respect the environment.
Finish: give your prints a unique look with the smoother satin finish of PolyTerra PLA+ Blue.
PolyTerra PLA+ Blue is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market, in both 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm diameters.
We recommend setting the extrusion temperature between 190 and 220°C for optimal printing. Print speeds between 30 and 70 mm/s and a heated bed between 25 and 60°C are also recommended.
If your printer has a direct drive extrusion system, the recommended retraction distance is 1 mm at 30 mm/s. For Bowden extrusion, the recommended retraction distance is 3 mm at 60 mm/s.
