The Black ABS filament from the PolyLite series by Polymaker is a high-quality ABS filament with a minimal content of fine particles (VOCs) to reduce harmful emissions.
Ideal for prototypes or functional parts, this ABS has a glass transition temperature of 100°C, meaning it can be used in heat-resistant environments.
Easy to handle when following the recommendations (closed chamber, adhesive for bed adhesion...), it ensures precise and reliable prints thanks to Polymaker's 8-step quality control process.
This Black ABS is ideal for producing parts requiring good mechanical strength and functional prototyping.
Lower toxicity: The PolyLite Black ABS 1kg emits less odor and VOCs than standard ABS.
Affordable price: This ABS filament offers excellent value considering the technology used.
Excellent print quality: This Polymaker ABS offers outstanding mechanical properties, especially in terms of impact resistance. It ranks among the strongest materials after PolyMax PC and PolyMide Copa.
PolyLite Black ABS is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market, whether in 1.75mm or 2.85mm formats.
3D printing with PolyLite Black ABS requires an extrusion temperature between 245 and 265°C, a heated bed between 90 and 105°C, and a print speed of 30 to 50mm/s.
We highly recommend using a closed and filtered enclosure and a professional 3D printer to avoid warping and ensure a safe printing environment.
To achieve a smooth surface finish, there are two options: manual sanding or the use of acetone, which chemically reacts with ABS. Since acetone can be hazardous, an alternative is to use PolySmooth with IPA.
This last method is our recommendation for creating functional prototypes with a smooth surface finish.
