The ABS Blue filament from the PolyLite series developed by manufacturer Polymaker is a high-quality ABS filament with minimal fine particles (VOCs) to reduce harmful risks.
Ideal for prototypes or functional parts, this ABS has a glass transition temperature of 100°C, which means it can be used in environments where heat resistance is required.
Easy to handle by following the recommendations (closed chamber, adhesive for bed adhesion, etc.), it allows for precise and reliable prints thanks to Polymaker’s 8-step quality control.
This Blue ABS is ideal for producing parts requiring good mechanical strength and for functional prototypes.
Lower toxicity: PolyLite ABS Blue 1kg filament releases fewer odors and fewer VOCs than standard ABS.
Low price: This ABS filament offers an excellent price/performance ratio considering the technology used.
Excellent print quality: This Polymaker 3D ABS offers outstanding mechanical properties, especially in terms of strength. It is among the most impact-resistant materials after PolyMax PC and PolyMide Copa.
PolyLite ABS Blue is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market in both 1.75 and 2.85mm formats.
3D printing with PolyLite ABS Blue should be done with an extrusion temperature between 245 and 265°C, a heated bed between 90 and 105°C, and a print speed of 30 to 50mm/s.
We strongly recommend using a closed and filtered chamber and a professional 3D printer to obtain deformation-free parts while ensuring a certain level of safety.
To achieve smooth surface parts, there are two possibilities: either manual sanding of the 3D piece, or the use of acetone, which chemically acts on ABS. Since handling acetone can be dangerous, an alternative method is using PolySmooth with IPA.
We recommend the latter method if you need functional prototypes with a smooth surface finish.
