The eco-responsible PLA filament PolyTerra Pink was developed by Polymaker using a technique called "Fully Bio Compound (FBC)", which is a mix of PLA (a biodegradable polymer derived from corn starch, beetroot, and wheat) and organic minerals.
If you're looking for a cost-effective or eco-friendly PLA filament, or both, PolyTerra™ PLA is definitely your first choice. Additionally, when used as a support material, PolyTerra™ PLA is easily removable.
PolyTerra filament is suitable for simple prototyping as well as finished decorative parts or accessories.
Excellent value for money: this filament delivers high quality for under €20 per kilo.
Rigidity: PolyTerra PLA Pink is more rigid than standard PLA.
Eco-responsibility: Polymaker partners with ONETREEPLANTED to plant one tree for every spool of PolyTerra sold.
Recycled spool: both the spool and the packaging of PolyTerra Pink are fully recycled to respect the environment.
Matte finish: give your prints a unique look thanks to PolyTerra Pink's matte surface.
Food contact compliant: Polymaker PolyTerra complies with RoHS 2011/65/EU, 2015/863, and REACH standards.
PolyTerra Pink is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market, whether using 1.75mm or 2.85mm filament.
We recommend setting your printer to an extrusion temperature between 190 and 230°C for optimal PolyTerra Pink printing. A print speed of 30 to 70mm/s and a heated bed temperature of 25 to 60°C are also advised.
If your printer uses a direct drive extruder, the recommended retraction distance is 1mm at a speed of 20mm/s. For Bowden setups, use a retraction distance of 3mm at 40mm/s.
Finally, while PolyTerra Pink meets food contact standards, printed parts may have microcracks or holes invisible to the naked eye. Bacteria can tend to proliferate in these areas.
