Using PolyTerra Muted Green

The eco-responsible PolyTerra Muted Green PLA filament was developed by Polymaker using a technology called "Fully Bio Compound (FBC)", which combines PLA (a biodegradable polymer derived from corn, beet, and wheat starch) with organic minerals.

If you are looking for a cost-effective or eco-friendly PLA, or both, PolyTerra PLA is your top choice. Additionally, when used as a support material, PolyTerra PLA can be easily removed.

PolyTerra filament is suitable for everything from simple prototypes to finished decorative or accessory pieces.

PolyTerra Muted Green: Key Features

Excellent value for money: high-quality filament for under €20 per kilogram.

Stiffness: PolyTerra Muted Green PLA offers greater rigidity than standard PLA.

Eco-friendly: Polymaker supports ONETREEPLANTED, planting a tree for every PolyTerra spool sold.

Recycled spool: the spool and packaging are fully recycled for environmental sustainability.

Matte finish: gives your prints a unique matte appearance.

Food contact safe: PolyTerra complies with RoHS 2011/65/EU, 2015/863, and REACH standards.

Recommendations for Using PolyTerra Muted Green

PolyTerra Muted Green is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market in both 1.75mm and 2.85mm diameters (depending on selection).

We recommend setting your printer to an extrusion temperature between 190 and 230°C. Print speeds of 30-70mm/s and a heated bed between 25 and 60°C are also advised.

For direct drive systems, use a retraction distance of 1mm at 20mm/s. For Bowden setups, 3mm retraction at 40mm/s is recommended.

Finally, although PolyTerra is food-safe, some printed parts may have tiny cracks or holes invisible to the naked eye. Bacteria may grow in these areas.
