Using PolyTerra Dual Dark Green and Brown

The eco-friendly PLA filament PolyTerra Dual Dark Green and Brown was developed by Polymaker with a technique called "Fully Bio Compound (FBC)", which combines PLA (a biodegradable polymer made from corn, beet, and wheat starch) with organic minerals.

If you’re looking for an affordable or ecological PLA filament—or both—PolyTerra™ PLA is definitely your first choice. When used as a support material, PolyTerra™ PLA can also be easily removed.

PolyTerra filament is used for everything from simple prototyping to decorative or accessory end-use parts.

Our Usage Recommendations for PolyTerra

PolyTerra Dual Dark Green and Brown is compatible with all open 3D printers on the market, whether 1.75 mm or 2.85 mm.

We recommend setting your printer to an extrusion temperature between 190 and 230°C for optimal printing conditions. A print speed between 30 and 70 mm/s and a heated bed temperature between 25 and 60°C are also suggested.

If your printer has a direct drive extrusion system, the recommended retraction distance is 1 mm at 20 mm/s. For Bowden setups, set retraction to 3 mm at 40 mm/s.

Finally, even though PolyTerra Dual Dark Green and Brown complies with food-contact standards, printed parts may contain invisible micro-cracks or pores where bacteria can proliferate.
